Million Dollar FilmPick your seconds

Terms

Last updated 4 September 2026.

These are the terms for claiming seconds of Million Dollar Film. They are short on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you buy.

Who we are

Million Dollar Film is run by Jasper de Boer, Hilversum, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce number 59221070, VAT number NL002215932B79. You can reach us at j@sperdeboer.nl.

What you buy

When you claim seconds you get three things. Control of that stretch of the film: you decide what happens in it, and no other buyer gets a say in it. A clip, made from your prompt, which stays in the film and which you may use elsewhere yourself. And a credit in those seconds if you want one: your name, your company or your URL in the bottom right of the picture for as long as your seconds run, with the link under the film while they play.

You do not buy a share of the film, ownership of the film, or any say over anybody else’s seconds. The film as a whole stays ours.

How it works

  1. Select 5 to 30 seconds on the timeline. We hold them for you for ten minutes while you pay, and the database itself refuses to sell the same second twice, so nobody can take them from under you. After ten minutes the checkout closes and the seconds go back on sale.
  2. Pay through Stripe Checkout. We ask for your email address and nothing else.
  3. You land on your private page, and we email you the link as well. The token in that link is the only way in, so keep it.
  4. Write a prompt, accept the guidelines, and make your seconds. Three takes come with the purchase, and a take that fails does not use one up. Any finished take can be the one in the film, and you can switch between them.
  5. Your first finished take starts a clock. For 24 hours you can change the prompt, make another take, choose a different take, or reword your credit. When the day is up, your seconds are final, and the people after you build on them.

Every time your seconds are made, or you choose another take, the film is cut again around them.

Price and payment

The price shown at checkout is the price. It depends on where your seconds sit in the film and on how many you take, it is worked out the same way for everyone, and it is in US dollars. It includes VAT.

Stripe takes the payment and we never see your card. The credit and the three takes come with the seconds. There is nothing extra to pay for either.

Changing your mind

Your seconds are digital content. EU consumer law gives you fourteen days to withdraw from a purchase like this, unless you ask the seller to start at once. By paying you ask us to start at once, and you accept that you lose that statutory right when we do.

Our own rule is more generous than the law. Ask for a refund at any time before your first take is made and you get all of your money back. Once a take has been made there is no refund, because a clip that has been made cannot be unmade. Refunds go back through Stripe, to the card you paid with.

What you may not put in your seconds

Three guidelines. You accept them on your own page before you make anything.

  • No real people, brands or logos.
  • Nothing sexual, hateful, or violent towards a person.
  • It has to work as part of somebody else’s film.

We may refuse a prompt, ask you for another, or take a clip out of the film if it breaks them. If we refuse your prompt and there is no version of it we can make, we refund you in full. The model has a content filter of its own and turns down some prompts too, and a take that fails that way is not one of your three.

Rights

You keep whatever rights you have in your prompt and in your clip.

You give us a permanent, worldwide, free licence to keep the clip in the film, to show it on the site, to hand it to the model as the reference for the seconds that follow yours, and to use it to promote the film. It has to be permanent, because the seconds after yours are built on yours.

You confirm that your prompt and your credit infringe nobody, and that you may use the name or the URL you give as your credit.

The clip is made by an AI model. Output like that may not be protectable by copyright at all, and we promise nothing about whether it is, for you or for us.

The film

The film has no set length. It is as long as people make it, and it is cut again every time somebody’s seconds are made, so it changes under you. We may re-cut it, take it down, or stop. We promise no audience, no ranking and no number of views or clicks. We keep the film up for as long as we reasonably can.

Liability

If we get something wrong, what we owe you is capped at what you paid for your seconds. Nothing here limits what the law does not allow us to limit.

Law

Dutch law applies, and Dutch courts hear any dispute. If you are a consumer you may also go to the courts of the country you live in, where the law gives you that right.
